Ronald James Duwe, age 60, of Guttenberg, IA, died Friday, September 11, 2009, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born the son of Richard E. Sr. and Florence (Handke) Duwe on August 17, 1949 in Guttenberg.
Ronald grew up in the Guttenberg community and graduated from the Guttenberg High School in 1968. For years he worked for both Trademark and Products Unlimited. He also helped many different farmers over the years. Ronald enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching Iowa Hawkeye Football. Ronald was a kind hearted person who would assist anyone who needed help. Just being outdoors was a simple pleasure to Ronald.
Ronald will be remembered by his, two sisters, Bonnie (Don) Garlow of Guttenberg, and Judith (Lorraine) Taake of Elkader; one brother, Richard E. Jr. (Rose Marie) Duwe, of Garnavillo, IA; several nieces, nephews and friends.
