Ruth B. Ratterman was born the daughter of Theodore and Wilhelmina (Fest) Ratterman on May 19, 1911 in Dubuque. She was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 30, 2009, from the Guttenberg Care Center after a long illness.
Ruth received 12 years education from Immaculate Conception Academy in Dubuque and spent most of her life as a bookkeeper. In her youth, Ruth enjoyed playing basketball and later was an avid bowler Ruth enjoyed playing bingo not only at St. Mary’s Church but at the Care Center as well and she was a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan. For the last three and a half years, Ruth resided at the Guttenberg Care Center and enjoyed meeting and visiting with the residents there.
Those left to cherish her memory is one sister, Florence Eilers of Guttenberg and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Freda, Joe, Daniel, John and Leo Ratterman and Rose Esser.
