The history of Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home reaches back to 1947 when Cornelius Tuecke started Tuecke Funeral Home in Guttenberg and in 1955 also established a Tuecke Funeral Home in Garnavillo, IA. Current owner, Rick Allyn, was raised in the Garnavillo, IA area. After graduating from Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1977 he returned to the Guttenberg area and worked in association with his father-in-law, Cornelius Tuecke serving the funeral needs of the Guttenberg/Garnavillo area and surrounding communities. In 1981, the business name changed to Tuecke-Allyn when Rick purchased the business from now retired, Cornelius Tuecke. In 1996, a new funeral home facility was erected in Guttenberg, followed by a new facility in Garnavillo in 1999.

Most recently, son Bill Allyn completed his degree at Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago and now joins the business in serving the needs of the surrounding communities.

Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Crematory Services is dedicated to meeting with the best of our ability, the needs of every family that we serve. We understand the importance of funerals and we want the services to reflect the life of the deceased. We want to provide dignified, kind, compassionate and respectful care to the deceased while bringing family, friends and community together to share memories and offer each other condolences in the time of grief. Our funeral homes are designed to bring comfort and solace to the bereaved.

The family areas of our facilities such as the chapels, family lounge and kitchenette and cloak room are duplicated in the Guttenberg and Garnavillo facilities. The Guttenberg facility also contains service areas such as casket and urn viewing rooms and preparation room.

Our warm, welcoming foyer allows access to restrooms, the chapel and other comforts.	Our spacious chapel can also be used as a visitation room for larger gatherings.
Comfortable seating can be arranged as you wish.	An assortment of caskets is available to make certain you find a fitting piece to pay tribute to your loved one.
Our arrangement room feels like home with its informal setting.	You have a number of burial vault and other options. Of course, we're always here to answer your questions.
